After moving from Seattle to beautiful Whidbey Island (in a town with one stop light, no less) four years ago, our family of six and our chicken-chasing dog are pulling stakes and heading into the Foreign Service. Mitch is an architect turned construction engineer with the FS. I am a stay at-home germophobe who really digs shoes, but doesn't have anywhere to wear them, because I hate to leave my house. We have 14 and ten year-old boys, and twin seven year-old girls. My unique skills include catching barf in a ziploc bag before you can say "My tummy doesn't feel so...", always having hand sanitizer, uh, handy, locating grammatical or spelling errors in published novels, and wielding a mean Clorox wipe. We are currently at our first post, Washington, DC. Headed for Brasilia, Brazil in July '11.
