Matt, based in Portland, Oregon, is passionate about growing great thoughts into great experiences. His professional career started at Boeing helping pilots learn how to fly. He's done time in advertising, created educational cartoons for children, and taught both young and old how to draw and communicate with a pen. As ECD he wears many hats at Thunderhead.com. As a creative facilitator and visual consultant he works closely with sharp minds and visionaries in developing strategic thinking into product that delights. As a designer and director, Matt is an entrenched member of the User Experience team, where he helps to drive a cycle of constant assessment and improvement in the visual language, voice, and interaction patterns for THDC's entire suite of solutions. An acclaimed experience Designer and leader of groups, Matt joined THDC from the global visual consulting firm, XPLANE, in where he acted as Creative Director and Studio Manager building and leading Portland and Amsterdam-based teams in experience design, communication programs, and blended learning systems for an array of Fortune clients. When asked what he enjoys most about his career, he jests, "That's easy - I get paid to draw pictures"

Drama is one of his favorite TV shows. Mean Girls, Office Space, Better Off Dead and The Whole 9 Yards are among his all-time favorite movies.
