Understanding Situations Developing Strategy Communicating Solutions Understanding situations is really a matter of understanding the goals and fears of the people affected by any given situation. I am able to read people quickly and take the time to refine my understanding before moving into strategy. Developing strategy translates the goals and fears of the people involved into the practical business, legal, logistic, branding, marketing, sales, product, service, or other tactical area of the solution. Im personally able to manage many of these tactical implementations, although for most I prefer to work with a team of subject-matter experts. Communication wears many disguises. When its moving product or service, its called sales. When its educating people, its called teaching. When its aligning people toward a common goal its called leadership or motivation. When its resolving conflict, its called mediation. Ultimately, its all communication, which can only be accomplished when one has taken the time to develop the understanding of peoples goals and fears as discussed above.
