I am a photographer from New York City that works in commercial, editorial and fine art. My background in photography dates back to age 9 when my dad gave a 110mm camera to me which has a negative the size of a childs finger nail. If you like grain then I recommend tracking down a camera like this. I carried this camera in my pocket and snapped pics of any and everything I could. The processing of the film quickly ate up my allowance and I was forced at an early age to get a paper route to support my film habit. My shooting habits have not changed but I have been able to move on from the paper route income to supporting myself through photography. I feel very lucky to have photography as a creative outlet.
