I enlisted in the Marine Corp shortly after graduating from High School in Omaha, Nebraska. After I was discharged I moved to Tucson where I attended the UofA with the help of the G.I. Bill. At the UofA I earned a B.S. with honors and a M.S. in economic geology. Following graduation I worked as an exploration geologist for a number of years before changing career paths and getting into business. As a businessman I've managed several large commercial construction companies and manufacturing firms with up to as many as employees. I am currently the owner and operator of a company which manufactures architectural metal products. I have broad experience in business management, accounting, contracts, lending, administration,finance, and marketing. My hobbies are hiking, astronomy, and golf. In I ran for Congress as an Independent speaking out against extreme partisanship. .
