A veteran of old-school radio, Casey started SciFi Surplus in 2007 with great fanfare, some twine, a few straws from a neighborhood convenience store and a penknife. This effort to legitimize his geeky obsessions and a growing “collection†of toys airs weekly at scifisurplus.com. The studio, a motley collection of elderly PC’s, audio filters, hook-and-loop fasteners, and locking pliers survives only through the sheer force of his immense will and his patented method of equipment-glaring. Casey loves talking to geeks about geekdom and has interviewed a slew of fascinating people.
