I'm currently ABD from Michigan Technological University in their Industrial Archeology program. My focus for the past several years has been discovering working class development among the river workers of the 19th century, particularly those working on steamboats in the Monongahela Valley in Pennsylvania.    I also own my own archaeological consulting firm, Nemacolin Archaeological Services. We specialize in Section 106 projects, lithic analysis, and general archaeological surveys.    I write an archaeological at www.archaeologydude.com where people can gains some insight into the everyday mind of a professional archaeologist.    Currently I am the president of the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology Mon/Yough Chapter #3, and have been dabbling in public archaeology programs in my home town of Brownsville, Pennsylvania. I subscribe to a holistic stakeholder approach to archaeology. If you can't make the archaeological sites important to the community, they will never be worth anything to that community either from a heritage standpoint or a preservation standpoint. Â
