I started at Simon and Schuster as an editorial assistant to the movie and TV tie in editor and later inherited full editorial duties which included gatekeeping and guiding the editorial board prior to and during rights auctions of studio projects -- e.g. scripts in production. At HBO as Manager of Special Programming I had a birds eye view of the early days of Pay TV and home video which caused tectonic shifts in consumer media consumption. The catalysts of change were the near simultaneous rise of home video and satellite that bypassed the stranglehold ATT had on network content distribution . Post HBO I started and ran a company that became the largest video distributor to the US military (AAFES) during the s build up of the armed services. In I started New Generation Films, Inc to integrate the emerging MPEG video compression with an application to deliver HQ files over standard broadband. The companies technology won us an invitation to Cannes where were part of the American Pavilion which is meant to showcase American film technology. Since the tech bubble burst I've headed multimedia company with special focus on Drupal CMS as a development platform. My Drupal projects created a wide range of advanced modules for for the platform with a particular focus on multimedia publishing. Some representative examples include Aggregator and Leech . Currently I run Talkapolis Inc, located in Nashville TN. Talkapolis has proved a market for its locally focused microcasts delivered to smartphones and tablets .
