I was a kindergarten teacher when my oldest son, Aaron, was diagnosed as having autism. This lead to a wild and crazy life adventure to get Aaron the services he needed in order to learn, work and live in his home community. In the process I've been a thought leader and paradigm pioneer for inclusion in the public schools and living in the community. I was lucky to meet some amazing parents, teachers, advocates and people with disabilities who helped me focus my dream and vision. I worked at the Child Advocacy Center, a federal grant to support parents to find services for their children. Fortunately, I was involved with TASH and this lead to grant writing, organizing workshops for best practice, giving Congressional Testimony and working with local, state and national government officials. After my husband retired, I went back to school to get my Masters and Doctorate in Early Childhood and Special Education. I taught at Miami University for 5 years and helped develop A Fresh Start Laundry, a business that employed people with severe disabilities who did the laundry for the Miami students. As I was setting up their website, I began learning about social media and writing. I got into the Romance Genre because of OVRWA- a terrific writing group. I'm still believing in Happy-Ever-Afters for Aaron and everyone. Specialties Inclusion for people with severe disabilities, working with parents and teachers, problem-solving and making the impossible happen.
