Grey Reverend is the solo project of singer/songwriter/composer L.D Brown. His music is best described as "simple songs about the more complicated things in life". Based in Brooklyn, NY, he has been working on this project as well as collaborating with other songwriters and composers from around the world. A large portion of these collaborations have been done with the U.K.-based group, The Cinematic Orchestra (TCO). In 2007, Grey Reverend began touring with the group as an opening support artist and guest musician playing in venues throughout the U.S.A, Canada, Europe, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, and South America. He has been featured on the LP, " Live At The Royal Albert Hall" by TCO, performing an acoustic version of their hit single, To Build A Home, as well as working with TCO's founder and leader, Jason Swinscoe, as a co-writer/arranger and guitarist for the award-winning Disney Nature film "The Crimson Wing" (2008). Other musicians who have worked with L.D. include members of Tortoise, Wilco, Fink, Lizz Wright, Lou Rhodes, and many more.
