I am from Cambridge, MA. I founded Cambridge Innovation Center in 1999, and it is still my primary vocation. In addition, I do venture investing about 1 day a week with New Atlantic Ventures, and its predecessor, DFJ New England. I am also on the board of Lumidigm, a cool fingerprint company. Before CIC, I was a Manager with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). I did tours in Boston, Madrid, Tokyo, and Singapore, and it was an awesome experience. I have an MBA from MIT Sloan and a BA from Amherst College.After college I spent 4 years in Tokyo at the Mitsubishi Research Institute. That was incomparably fun. I speak Spanish, Japanese, and some Chinese. In 1994 I co-coordinated the operations of the first international world wide web conference “the Woodstock of the Web†at CERN in Geneva. My company, CIC, has won Boston Magazine’s “Best Place to Work†award. We provide fully managed offices to startup companies. In 2005 Google selected CIC to house its new Boston office and remained until 2008. We’ve been having a good time.
