Welcome to my blog. I have always had an interest in art in one form or another. I have painted for years but at this point in my life it's more important for me to paint than ever. In the business I worked for closed and finding work even part time work at this point in my life was not easy. While lookingfor a job I went to a frame shop as I used to be a framer. Unfortunately or maybefortunately the owner was not hiring. As we chatted for a few minutes and discussed the things that I do which included painting she asked if I had been in the shop next door. She suggested that I go to the shop next to hers and check it out. So off I went to see this wonderful place she had told me about. The shop is called the Craft Guild Shop and it's a co-op of crafters and artists.So with no job in sight I decided to join the Craft Guild,I took some of my artwork in to be juried and my work was accepted and the restis history. It's great to be able to do what you love and have a passion for. I teach painting classes in the shop and take on custom orders. Your life is ajourney and you never know where that journey will lead you, just keep an openmind and go with the flow.
