Rajat Taneja is corporate vice president responsible for Microsoft Corp.'s engineering efforts encompassing its commercial search initiative and commerce transaction platform. Taneja joined Microsoft in 1996 and most recently led its small-business efforts within the Microsoft Business Division. During his six years in the Microsoft Business Division, Taneja was general manager responsible for the vision and engineering of the small-business product line including hosted online services (e-mail marketing, e-commerce, payroll and analytics) and Business Contact Manager, a key feature of Microsoft Office Outlook, Microsoft Retail Management System, Microsoft Dynamics - Point of Sale and Microsoft Office Accounting. Before that, Taneja led licensing operations in the Americas and Europe as well as several large corporate systems implementations. Before joining Microsoft, Taneja was with Digital Equipment Corp., where he was responsible for desktop and open systems products and technology solutions. Taneja also worked for a few years at Wipro Technologies. Taneja has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Jadavpur University, India, and an MBA from Washington State University.

Educated at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, I have been creating art ever since I could hold a pencil in very early childhood. While other kids were out playing, I was learning to draw via books, courses and tutors because back then the passion of drawing came first, as it does today. This love of animals and nature eventually blossomed into a business, then has expanded throughout the years. Though my business duties now take precedence, I still put the artwork first. Drawing and painting are therapeutic and relaxing to me, an escape from our stress-filled world. Most artwork you see has been done in less than one day, I have limited time and work fast. My artwork can be seen worldwide,in nature parks, zoos, businesses, publications, media and more. I have lived in other countries and studied the flora and fauna of Central American jungles extensively, and plan to study other exotic locales when I pry myself away from work at some point.
