As an engineer, I was equally comfortable at an office or bridge construction site. To those I can add warehouse floor and clean room pharmaceutical manufacturing line. CIVIL ENGINEERING My engineering background includes experience as a construction engineer, bridge designerplan reviewer, highway geometrics and drainage designmost of which also included the role of project manager. For years I was the lead for the local office of a national engineering firm. Earlier, I spent years as an on-site project engineer for bridge and heavy highway construction projects. PUBLIC RELATIONS As marketing director of a firm selling hosiery designed for men, I directed publicity efforts to inform public opinion on the emerging concept of mens legwear. Although showing growth potential, it was at times hampered by misplaced misconceptions in minds of potential customers. Through concerted media outreach and buzz marketing, I created many articles, press releases, and a blog (The Nylon Gene) that helped change those perceptions and create new customersmany of whom tried the product and went on to become regular customers.
