I am currently working as an engineer at Accelerated Concepts. My primary responsibility is writing software for Linux-based hardware. The software ranges from low-level board support and boot loaders to application-level user-visible features. I also create the infrastructure that supports these devices, including IPSec endpoints, remote-control and diagnostic protocols, and configuration methods. I am charged with adding necessary features while ensuring the product is robust and fault-tolerant. My additional responsibilities include component selection and evaluation of microprocessors and SOCs for suitability in new products. Occasionally, I reverse-engineer existing 3rd-party devices (USB modems for CDMA, GSM, and LTE networks) for use with our products. Before I started my career at Accelerated, I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Prior to earning my degree, I worked in the restaurant industry. I was advanced to management based on my initiative and business successes. Because engineering and problem solving is my passion, I left a successful career in restaurant management to pursue electrical engineering.
