I am a storyteller. As the public relations manager for Excelsior College, I use a variety of earned- and owned-media to reach Excelsiors target audiences and share our unique story with the world. In , I advocated for and helped develop the award-winning Excelsior Life, an online newsroom built to showcase the vibrancy of the colleges academic and campus life. As lead editor, I ensure the production of a diverse stream of content, from spotlights on graduates and the exploration of faculty research to in-depth features aimed to jump-start conversation on key national issues. In April , I spearheaded the launch of Excelsior Life Distance EDU on Demand, a weekly academic podcast series featuring Excelsior College newsmakers and faculty. I continue to act as the shows host and lead producer. Prior to Excelsior, I honed my craft in NYS government and then at a PR agency specializing in high technology. Charged with managing day-to-day operations, strategy, social media and high-level media outreach for each of the firms retainer technology brands, I secured feature stories in the Wall Street Journal, Fox News, Barrons, Chicago Tribune, Yahoo, Popular Science and WIRED, among a host of other high-tier outlets. In both and , my work was recognized with an Empire Award, as bestowed by the Capital Region Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. Outside of my professional life, I am a runner, craft brewer, and lifelong suffering Buffalo Bills fan.
