I'm a wife and mother of five children ranging in age from seven to 20 years old, and I face the same challenges every parent does: keeping my children safe, raising them to be good, happy and well-balanced people; and providing them with the tools and support to create their own future. When I was introduced to the social networking phenomenon, I quickly recognized its importance in the lives of my children. After researching the concerning content and culture that children were being exposed to in the adult-intended social networks, my mission became clear: empower youth through social media while providing practical safety, education and privacy solutions. With that I conceived and founded Yoursphere Media Inc., which focuses on the family and publishes the kidsâ€™ social networkYoursphere.com and the parent Internet-safety resource site YoursphereForParents.com. Drawing on my corporate entrepreneurial experience as a media strategist, advertising, marketing and publishing VP formerly with CMP LLC, I built the Yoursphere team. Since then, I/Yoursphere have been profiled in the media on CNN, ABC News, Bloomberg Businessweek, Fox & Friends, E!, FOX Business, Lifetime TV, and most recently, ABC's 20/20 with Chris Cuomo.
