Mark Watanabe has been at The Seattle Times for nearly 20 years, serving as technology editor since 1999. Before that he was an assistant metro editor with responsibilities for science, medical, environmental and technology coverage. He also has worked in the features section as an editor. Earlier, he was an editor at Advertising Age and has also worked as an editor and business manager of a startup city and regional magazine in Chicago.
