Mark Holland began his professional career as a small business owner at the age of 17. During the time of owning three successful businesses, he landed several large accounts, with one in particular being Wal-Mart. In 1994 he began his insurance career as an agent. He achieved agent's highest awards such as Rookie of the Year and New Agent of the Year! He also regularly achieved the many insurance companies and industries highest awards throughout the years. In 1998, Mark was a founding partner of BenCom. BenCom developed proprietary processes and technology that helped employers communicate, enroll and administer their employee benefits programs. BenCom tools have been used by numerous national public companies, state governments and even insurance carriers. Serving as BenCom’s CEO, Mark and the company are regularly recognized with national press and trade journals such as CNBC, Benefit News, Benefit and Compensation, finalist for The Memphis Business Journal “Small Business of the Year†(twice) and several others. Currently Mark operates several companies and business projects centered on an innovative approach in utilizing the latest technologies to improve the healthcare and benefit industry. As a recognized expert in worksite marketing, electronic enrollment and benefit communications, Mark currently serves advising and consulting roles with major insurance companies and owns various companies in the Benefits and Healthcare industry. Mark has a wife, Jennifer, and two children, Hannah and Sam. He is very active in the community; volunteering for Hope Presbyterian Church, serving on the board of the Grove Park Homeowners Association and various other boards. He was voted 2002-03 Republican of the Year by the National Congressional Business Commission, and is an active member in the Congressional National Business Advisory Council, where he serves as an advisor for small business to Congress. Mark Holland is a Canadian politician who serves as the current leader of the Government in the House of Commons. In the 2004 federal election he was elected to the House of Commons of Canada as a candidate of the Liberal Party in the Ontario riding of Ajax-Pickering. Holland was subsequently re-elected in the 2006, 2008, and the 2015 federal elections. He was defeated in the 2011 election and became the director of health promotion and public affairs with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. He also served as the Heart and Stroke Foundation's executive director for the Ontario Mission and national director of children and youth, before returning to federal politics in 2015.
