I was born and grew up in Albertville AL -- lived across the street from the old elementary school most of my young life and finished AHS in '63. Went two years at Snead before going to and finishing college at Jacksonville State University. Met my wonderful wife Judy the first day at Snead. We've been maried 46 years. After finishing college, started working at Teledyne Brown Engineering. Also worked for several other Army contractors before retiring in 2006. Most of work concentrated on development and analysis of software systems for military applications. Last severeal years, primary concentration was on evaluation of safety issues associated with embedded software in fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft and weapon systems. My wife and I have one daughter (Elizabeth Hamm) and twin grandsons (Will and Cade Hamm) and a great son-in-law (Terry Hamm). I really enjoy bass fishing; however, my favorate outdoor recreation was quail hunting. Unfortunately, most of the quail are gone and there's no place to hunt them anymore. My greatest joy in life is to spend time with the grandsons, especially when we're fishing. They are 13 now and are pretty good considering their age. Both have caught nice bass, but Will is leading with an 8-5. Not bad for the 13 year old!!! I also enjoy turkey hunting, but haven't got one yet -- maybe this year. I've been fortunate to have traveled quiet a bit, including California, Alaska, several states in the west, a little in Europe and others. However, my favorate place in the world is right here -- Guntersville Lake and Sand Mountain. I absolutely love it!!! I was fortunate enough to have a technical article "Applicatin and Evaluation of Built-in-Test (BIT) Techniques in Building Safe Systems" in Cross Talk Software Assurance and reprinted in Quality Assurance Institute Journal. After I started working, I got interested in playing Bridge during lunch. Since retiring, I got a little more serious and achieved "Life Master" this year. It's really good for keeping the old mind working!!!
