Jill Frost is the owner of Frost Public Relations specializing in resumé critique/re-building and interview training for individuals as well as internal and external communications, media relations and marketing for businesses. She has more than 10 years of experience working in media, public relations and communications. Before launching Frost PR, Jill worked as the Communications Director for the Governor’s Books from Birth Foundation (GBBF), overseeing communications and public relations for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library book program in Tennessee. Before coming on board with GBBF, Jill served as the Marketing and Communications Manager with the Nashville Area Red Cross. During her time at the Red Cross, Jill led the marketing department, served as a local and national media spokesperson, and conducted interviews with local and national media outlets such as CNN. She also helped lead the public affairs efforts on five national disasters in middle Tennessee and across the country. Jill has also worked as news reporter and anchor for the 24-hour news talk station, NewsRadio 1510 WLAC, in Nashville and the Tennessee Radio Network. She obtained a BA in Political Science and Broadcast Journalism at the University of Kentucky (UK), and was accepted into the Syracuse University College of Law, however, opted to pursue a different route out of college instead, lobbying in Frankfort, Ky. for organizations like the National Federation of Independent Business. While at UK, Jill interned for television media in Lexington and was the winner of a William Randolph Hearst Award for Excellence in television journalism. She also served as the news editor of the school’s daily newspaper, the Kentucky Kernel. Jill has also done freelance writing for Country Weekly magazine interviewing artists Vince Gill, Wynonna Judd, Mila Mason, Darryl Worley, Jo Dee Messina and others.
