I have to be honest, I'm rarely at a loss for words. In fact, I pursued a career in sports broadcasting after repeated comments of "talks too much" from teachers and family members. I've spent more than decade honing my speaking skills as a sports broadcaster and sideline reporter. Currently you can see me during Seattle Mariners pre and post game shows in my position with ROOT Sports (formerly FSN.) I have dodged more than one post-game pie-in-the-face after thrilling wins, and had the distinct honor of being the first person to interview Felix Hernandez moments after throwing the first Perfect Game in Mariners history. You'll also find me on the sidelines of college football and basketball games. In addition, I've served as the Seahawks radio sideline reporter since . A love of sports and public speaking led to the creation of Talk Sporty to Me in after identifying a communication void in the workplace that could be filled with sports conversations. Through Talk Sporty to Me, I help business professionals understand how to talk sports for business and leverage sports fandom with clients and colleagues. It's a different approach to workplace communication and one you won't see anywhere else. It's the reason wrote and published my first book, Game Time Learn To Talk Sports in Minutes a Day for Business. Game Time is the go-to resource for new and novice sports fans. In addition to just talking sports, I participated in my younger days as a high school athlete and then as a football official. I spent years wearing the stripes and working all levels of high school football. That love of officiating started in college at Southern Methodist University where I earned a BA in Journalism and a BS in Public Policy. Outside of work, I also serve of the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Bellevue an organization that annually serves , youth in the eastside Seattle suburb.
