Jan 24, 2019 · Discussion in ' Word Mechanics ' started by James E, Jan 24, 2019. Hi guys and girls, I'm new here, so hello. I have an introduction I would like to be in the first person but with the narrator talking directly to the reader. The feel being as though the reader is sat talking to the narrator at a bar, so all dialogue but without any description.

www.writingforums.org › threads › do-you-believe-white-authors-should-be-able-to-make-black-characters-as-their-main-characters.164708
Nov 23, 2019 · James Patterson, Claire O'Dell, Edna O'Brien, Harriet Beacher Stowe..... Writing a black character shouldn't be anything different from writing a white character with the exception of color and hair. If you think of it as different (how we talk and act) then you are writing stereotype. And stereotype is wrong.

Aug 30, 2015 · A movement can only really be a vague overall description of their work I guess. Think about a movement like Modernism which has within its canon people like Ezra Pound, James Joyce, Pablo Picasso, the Bauhaus school, Robert Frost, Henry James, Hart Crane, and Elizabeth Bishop. You can't really say they are all alike. Look at Romanticism, was Robert …

Dec 17, 2010 · Anyone else find James Patterson a tad 'Boring'? Discussion in ' Discussion of Published Works ' started by yuriicide, Dec 15, 2010 . I have just finished reading James Patterson's "I, Alex Cross". I found the book to be extremely boring and tedious. The plot seemed shallow and character development was just meh.

Grammar Not Important In Poetry - Writing Forums
www.writingforums.org › threads › grammar-not-important-in-poetry.2401
Dec 5, 2006 · Maybe it's just me but I'm tired of hearing that grammar isn't important in poetry, so unless you're James Joyce, SHUT UP AND USE IT! I get tired of that. Someone once said that in order to know how to subvert the rules and twist them to your advantage, you must understand them first. Most of the time, poetry can be enhanced with grammar.

Jan 15, 2011 · If I'm writing in 3rd person, and I ask a question in a paragraph, should I put the question mark before or after "James thought", or should I just drop that part altogether. Here's my example: James knelt down on his right knee next to the hooded girl. With his both of hands, he pushed her hood off of her head, revealing a youthful face.
