Irwin Mark Jacobs, age 73, one of the founders of the Company, has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors since it began operations in July 1985. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of the Company from July 1985 to June 2005. Dr. Jacobs received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and M.S. and Sc.D. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Irwin Jacobs is the father of Dr. Paul Jacobs, our Chief Executive Officer, and Jeffrey A. Jacobs, President of QUALCOMM Global Development.
