Photography has been a part of my life since I can remember. My great grandfather owned a photography studio in Worthington, MN (Rickers Studio) for many years before my grandfather and great uncle bought into the business and later sold it in 1981. In 1996, I started working for the former family photography studio as the photographer?s assistant and continued working there through 2001. Needless to say, I was the subject of many photographs over the years. I loved being in front of the camera, but more importantly, I developed a passion for being behind it. I specialize in photographing all the memorable and exciting times in life. To me there is nothing more meaningful than being able to preserve a particular moment in time in a photograph. That way you can cherish and remember that moment for many years to come. My mentor once told me that one of the reasons he became a photographer is because he gets to see people at their happiest times in life?and I couldn?t agree more with that statement. read more ...
