This is how it works: You're young until you're not, You love until you don't, You try until you can't; You laugh until you cry, You cry until you laugh, And everyone must breathe Until their dying breath "At the side of the everlasting 'why,' there is a 'yes', and a 'yes', and a 'yes'!" ******************************* Bits of wisdom from C.S. Lewis: "I am not, in my natural state, nearly so much of a person as I like to believe; most of what I call 'me' can be very easily explained. It is when I turn to Christ, when I give myself up to His Personality, that I first begin to have a real personality of my own." "...when pain is to be borne, a little courage helps more than much knowledge, a little human sympathy more than much courage, and the least tincture of the love of God more than all." "I saw well why the gods do not speak to us openly, nor let us answer. Till that word can be dug out of us, why should they hear the babble that we think we mean? How can they meet us face to face till we have faces?" "All is summed up in the prayer which a young female human is said to have uttered recently: 'O God, make me a normal twentieth century girl!' Thanks to our labours, this will mean increasingly, 'Make me a minx, a moron, and a parasite.'" "When we fall in love with a woman, do we cease to care whether she is clean or dirty, fair or foul? Do we not rather then first begin to care? Does any woman regard it as a sign of love in a man that neither knows nor cares how she is looking? Love may, indeed, love the beloved when her beauty is lost: but not because it is lost. Love may forgive all infirmities and love still in spite of them: but Love cannot cease to will their removal. Love is more sensitive than hatred itself to every blemish in the beloved...Of all powers he forgives most, but he condones least: he is pleased with little, but demands all." "An open mind, in questions that are not ultimate, is useful. But an open mind about the ultimate foundations either of Theoretical or of Practical Reason is idiocy. If a man's mind is open on these things, let his mouth at least be shut....[T]hough I myself am a Theist, and indeed a Christian, I am not here attempting any indirect argument for Theism. I am simply arguing that if we are to have values at all we must accept the ultimate platitudes of Practical Reason as having absolute validity: that any attempt, having become skeptical about these, to reintroduce value lower down on some supposedly more 'realistic' basis, is doomed."

I'm not a Business student, or a member of BUSTA. I've never attended a kegger, participated in Amateur Night at the Well, or taken the Walk of Shame early on a weekend morning, unless you count walking home sweaty from the gym. I believe in getting high on life, NOT any other substances, I strive to be genuinely well-liked, NOT popular, and I believe that quality matters over quantity any day of the week. That's why I went to Bishop's University, the smallest, loudest, quirkiest, and BEST damn school on the face of the planet (but that doesn't mean that I don't want to hide under a rock sometimes, lol). Oh, and yes, I *do* know The Four Emilys from choir. I'm one of them. ;)
