Chetan has over eighteen years of progressive experience which spans across e-commerce, digital marketing, social media, international and general business management. For most of his career, Chetan has been a part of trusted consumer brands such as Smuckers, Jif, Crisco, Pillsbury, Folgers, Dunkin Donuts, Millstone, Caf Bustelo, Caf Pilon, Hungry Jack, Eagle Brand, R.W. Knudsen, White Lily, Martha White and Uncrustables to name just a few. He started his career as a merchant marine engineer for a European shipping company, where he worked with professionals from a wide range of nationalities, languages and cultures while traveling extensively around the world. In an attempt to pursue a career in e-commerce and digital marketing during the dotcom and YK era, he joined the University of Akron in Ohio, where he graduated with a masters degree in business management. Since then, he has led e-commerce, digital marketing and direct-to-consumer functions at The J. M. Smucker Company. He is responsible for the general management of the company's e-commerce business (including PL) across multiple channels including company-owned online stores, pure-play e-tailers (e.g. and traditional "brick mortar" retailers. In addition, he has managed the mail-order catalog, company retail store and gift box businesses. He is also responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of digital marketing across all brands. In addition to building best-in-class multi-functional teams, Chetan has a passion for developing strategies that drive business results and empower the organization for future success. He has a Center of Excellence philosophy with a curiosity for emerging trends and technology to drive innovation. Today, he primarily focuses on the opportunities in e-commerce, the future of digital marketing and leveraging emerging technologies across the organization. He recently launched initiatives in the area of mobile e-commerce.
