Always being one interested in what makes things work, I started exploring how websites worked soon after I was introduced to the Internet at the age of ten. It didn't take long for me to pick up on HTML, and pretty soon I was dabbling in building websites. By the time I entered high school I was already fairly proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. During my high school years, I picked up on how the Internet was moving toward "Web ." and started to polish my skills in PHP programming and MySQL databases. After trying WordPress, Django, Plone, and Joomla, I eventually settled on Drupal as being my framework of choice. I prefer Drupal over the others due to its scalability and large pool of contributors. I have experience in implementing automated site deployments using Aegir, Jenkins, Git, Fabric, Libcloud (specifically through the Rackspace API), and Puppet. This includes setting up high availablity clusters including Varnish caching servers, Nginx, webservers, and MySQL servers in multi-master mode. I try to make processes as efficient and zero-touch as possible. If it can be automated, I automate it. If it can't be automated, I find a way to automate it.
