Catherine is currently responsible for the Microsoft BizSpark program in Australia. BizSpark is designed to fast track the success of early stage technology companies by offering software, support and opportunities to increase visibility. Catherine joined Microsoft in 2008 as a Dynamics Developer Evangelist to build the local Dynamics Developer Community. More recently she found herself drawn back to the energetic and growing local Australian Startup community, utilising her previous experience nurturing her own company to become a successful Microsoft Partner, where she worked with customers across Australia and New Zealand including Channel 7, Port of Brisbane and International Freight Company Toll Express to help them innovate on Microsoft technologies. Catherine can often be spotted presenting at Tech ED conferences and other events across Australia, the US and the Middle East and particularly at startup focused events. Catherine brings significant experience as a developer and consultant, having completed a Bachelor of Computer Science, and is currently studying her Masters in IT. She is a Microsoft Certified Trainer and was awarded CRM Most Valuable Professional status just prior to joining Microsoft. She is particularly passionate about supporting and encouraging other women in IT and is involved with the GeekGirlBlogs.com site, the GeekGirlBlogs Podcasting series as well as supporting many of the Australian Girl Geek Dinners.
