In any case, my technical and professional educations were paid for by companies in the high tech, venture capital and biotech industries. These days, my primary employer is the State of California. While I am a capable technologist from the perspective of your everyday businessperson, I'm not a technical engineer. It's very important to ask questions, to learn from those who have gone before, to listen to what's being said, and to think deeply on the problem being examined.
