I am a graduate of Virginia Tech. I majored in Communication concentration in Public Relations. I minored in Professional Writing and Sociology. Since graduation, I've had multiple internships in the public relations industry. My experiences include editing and drafting media documents - such as media advisories, news releases and fact sheets. I then interned, and eventually landed a full-time position, at Ketchum doing online strategy. While there I gained valuable experience in social media strategy and implementation, link building, web analytics (using Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools and Bing Webmaster Tools) and search engine optimization (SEO). I also have an understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Dreamweaver). My main goal in life is to enjoy my career. If I can go into "work" everyday and not feel that it's a chore, I will have found my perfect job.
