I'm a writer, editor, and educator with extensive experience in multiculturalism, diversity, food writing, and social justice. I coached writing and literature students in a wide variety of academic and non-academic situations for years. Since leaving academia in , I've expanded my writing skills in the areas of social media support, blogging, grantwriting, newspapers, and magazines. I have extensive proofreading and copyediting experience. Most notably, in , I served as developmental and copy editor for the American Book Award-winning memoir Swimming in the American. I have also copy edited several book-length manuscripts, including Seattle's International District The Making of an Pan-Asian American Community.
