I'm a Medill graduate currently working at GossipCop.com, which polices the entertainment industry and separates fact from fiction in the world of celebrity news. I've explored my interest in celebrity journalism through my prior employment at the New York Daily News, as well as several professional internships at nationally-known publications, including PEOPLE, Seventeen and the Chicago Tribune. My experience includes covering events ranging from Jay-Z concerts and network upfronts to press conferences and red carpets. I'm also well-versed in fact-checking, copy editing and using content management systems. I've also used the skills I've developed at both Medill and in the professional workplace to launch my own website, TeenDramaWhore.com, a go-to destination on the web for fans of teen soap operas. I've used Facebook and Twitter to market myself, and I've conducted interviews with stars of several network series. After nearly two years of operation, I stopped updating TDW in September to focus on my full-time career. My objective is to maintain full-time, permanent employment in a position related to the entertainment industry.
