Who am I? A passionate science communicator with experience of working on multiple media broadcasting platforms, both in the UK and abroad. There is a growing public distrust in, and ignorance of, science. This is something I feel strongly about; I think the world needs scientists who can communicate well and engage with the public. I am a scientist, and I truly believe in the power and importance of science, and I really want to help people understand and be excited by it. I trained as a zoologist but have always been interested in the wider application of the scientific method. I’m drawn to science broadcasting and journalism as a career because I see it as a great way of helping to stem the ‘tide of ignorance’, and of improving public knowledge and understanding.
