Mission Statement To write software that transparently fulfills its function allowing the user to focus not on the software but on what they need and hope to accomplish in this moment. Career Summary I got my first break into the field of information technology on the midnight to am shift in typing on a DEC LA connected to a real estate leasing application. Some of the software I've written has made a difference in this world in a positive way. There is always room for growth though and software is changing the world in ways no one ever thought possible. The need has never been greater for software to enable the creation of a safer and more beautiful world. My career has spanned COBOL business applications to Java web services to Microsoft Windows desktop and distributed applications written in both managed and unmanaged code. The last decade of my career has been work done in C related to the distributed management of computers via Microsoft's Group Policy along with a healthy dose of C# coding. The underlying technologies have included desktop databases like Microsoft Access, Microsoft Windows applications and services, Microsoft Office applications, web services, XML, UML, and various open source technologies like PHP, Perl, and Python.
