I have been involved in Mainframe data processing since 1975. I have worked in all areas of Mainframe development (except management, which I am very proud to have avoided) ranging from COBOL development of online applications using IMS/DC in the late '70s to high-performance assembler language utilities building internal DB2 data structures. I have been an MVS systems programmer maintaining CICS, IMS, DB2, VTAM, MVS, JES2, etc. My current position is planning and implementing strategic directions for several of the industries best high-performance DB2 utility products.
