I have more than ten years of experience working broadcast and online news. I started out as a reporter/photographer then went on to producing my own shows. My past three years have been spent working closely with our web department. Last year, I was tapped to head the entertainment/nightlife website of WTSP, Metromix.com. Since launching, page views have increased every month and saw huge gains during our Super Bowl coverage. As the managing producer for Metromix.com, I am responsible for the site's editorial content as well as overseeing marketing and advertising growth. As a managing producer, I am already familiar with planning special projects, overseeing copy and creative content, and using social media to reach out to a broader online audience. For instance, we use social media (facebook, twitter, etc.), SEO/SEM video, photography, and smart copy to make our product stand out to new and returning users. Also, having launched an entirely new product, I have had to create workflows, become familiar with Omniture, target and solve new problems, manage resources, respond to feedback and generate results.
