Having had the opportunity to consult and communicate with many private practice physical therapy owners over the past five years, as well as experiencing this in my own practice, I am very familiar with the constant struggles that one has to contend with in order to receive full reimbursement from third party payors. This area of the practice requires constant vigilience and effort to ensure that the payors are actually reimbursing to the levels which they have agreed to by contract. My pursuit is to help the practice owner reach the reimbursement levels they are entitled to and to accomplish this as an outside service for the owner, but with the owner's viewpoint in mind. This seems easy for me as I was actually wearing the hat of owner/CEO and doing the billing and collecting for the first 2+ years of our existence.
