Michael M. Withiam is an exceptional leader and communicator. He excels as a general manager or program manager, building strong, diverse teams that deliver unique solutions to complex business challenges. His teams consistently exceed profit and loss, revenue growth, and operations and customer and employee satisfaction targets. He has particular expertise in strategic communications, marketing and sales strategy, organizational development, and extensive experience in residential and commercial sales, customer service operations and logistics, call center management, government relations, and community relations. In addition to his professional success, Withiam is an active community volunteer, an accomplished writer, editor and journalist, and a part-time teacher. He has served on the Board of Directors for the United Way of South Hampton Roads, where he was Chair of the Community Funding Committee and a member of the Executive Committee.. His writing credits include more than four years as a newspaper reporter, feature writer and columnist, several articles for magazines and business publications, and several local and regional magazine articles. He has also created and hosted live television and radio news and public affairs programs in both the United States and Canada. As a teacher, Withiam has developed and taught undergraduate and graduate level courses at several colleges, including courses in Business Communication and Writing, News Writing, Principles of Marketing, Intro to Public Relations, and Sports Marketing. He most recently taught a series of workshops focused on non-fiction writing.
