Like many women of the Baby Boomer generation, I have had a non-linear career trajectory. I began as a college professor, teaching English and writing, but for the last years I have also been a professional writer, editor, project manager, and now a specialist in social media. I currently teach social media as an adjunct at Columbia University School of Journalism's Continuing Education Program I am a contributing writer to PBS NextAvenue.org, and I am the tech columnist for the Baby Boomer Website, "Better After ." In addition, I speak at conferences, run panels, provide content for brands, and help others write books. I have been a guest on television networks such as MSNBC, WNBC, NY, Food Network, Lifetime TV, and Fox and has been interviewed for NPRs All Things Considered and other radio programs. Run the metrics for any Twitter chat in which I have participated, or any event I have attended that has a hashtag, and you'll find I am among those most retweeted. I have embraced the new platform, Flipboard, and you can find the mags I've been creating at httpsflipboard.comprofilewordwhacker. My blog, GenerationBSquared, covers all things Baby Boomer. I am also a frequent guest blogger on women's issues, tech, and Baby Boomer issues. Because of my experience with parenting magazines, I am called on to write about or comment upon issues concerning children of all ages. Recently I have become a member of a group of women who speak about the role women play in social media. Our hashtag is #womenlead.
