Kathleen Stuart is Director of Outreach for the Oregon Senate Majority Office and Deputy Director of the Senate Democratic Leadership Fund, the political organization dedicated to recruiting, training and leading Democratic State Senate candidates to victory. She oversees fundraising, digital communications, staff training and incumbent protection programs for Senate Democrats' -member Caucus. Kathleen joined the Senate Democratic Leadership Fund after leading her campaign team to a nine-point victory in the highly targeted re-election campaign of State Senator Laurie Monnes Anderson. Her experience comes from years of driving press strategies for advocacy organizations and top Fortune companies, including Yahoo, Oracle, and Cisco. She comes to Oregon from San Francisco, where she cut her teeth in corporate, nonprofit and technology PR, leading high impact media relations and crisis communications programs at The Bateman Group for a portfolio of tech start-ups and companies focused on social good, such as Recyclebank. The Bateman Group was recently acknowledged by Bulldog Reporter as the Communications Agency of the Year - the only PR award voted by reporters themselves. Kathleen brings corporate PR experience from Hill Knowlton company Blanc Otus, where she secured media coverage for clients Cisco, Yahoo, Oracle, Visible Technologies and Metacafe. She gained a reputation at Blanc Otus for her dedication to delivering results, excellent client service and a steady stream of creative ideas to score media coverage for clients. Prior to Blanc Otus, Kathleen helped lead corporate PR programs at Ketchum for Liberty Mutual, Chase, FedEx, and San Francisco-based nonprofit Room to Read.
