I am an experienced Security and Operations Manager, Operations Architect and consultant with a focus on infrastructure management and IT&T security. I'm also the author of five technical books on a variety of IT topics. I am currently VP Technical Operations for Puppet Labs, the makers of the Puppet configuration management tool. Prior to this I managed the CERT (Computer Emergency Response Team) function for the National Australia Bank. This includes all IT Security Threat Management, Incident Management, Investigations, Cybercrime, and Intelligence. At NAB I also worked with a consulting team that provided operations and security architecture, infrastructure security and information security consulting services. Prior to this I managed a Security Operations and Delivery team responsible for operations and security solutions architecture, infrastructure management and provided operational and support services to customers and projects.
