Joe Ranft is co-founder and director of product and UX at Cinch Financial, a financial services store that makes it easier for consumers to find the right mortgages, credit cards, insurance, and bank accounts. Prior to Cinch, Joe was a consultant specializing in design thinking, user experience strategy, UX design, product management, usability, and customer research. His clients included Fidelity Investments, Putnam Investments, Merrill Lynch Bank of America, athenahealth, Citrix Systems, Motley Fool, Weather.com, Cars.com, and several early stage Internet start-ups. Joe has also held positions as VP of Product Design at UpDown.com, VP of User Experience at Fidelity Investments, Information Architect at iXL, and Web Site Producer at Morgan Keegan. His consulting tends to focus on rapid wireframing and concepting for new businesses and products, expert usability reviews, design team building, organizational consulting, and talent evaluation and recruiting. Prior to the Internet, Joe taught high school English and Spanish in Memphis.
