My Teaching Philosophy Encourage Questions, Provide Challenge, and Promise Respect My approach as an educator is the sum of my experiences as a lifelong learner. Family, peers in the field of education, and students have all inspired me to provide an effective, safe environment in which all students can learn. By adopting a creative, research-based approach to teaching, classes can become relevant, enjoyable, learner-centered workshops based on respect, where students pose relevant questions, work from their individual developmental levels, and make gains that they, themselves, can recognize. Given a safe environment in which to experience learning, students will be more likely to engage with material, to understand their own needs, and to recognize the sincere support provided by their committed learning guide.
