I am an intellectual property attorney focusing on trademark, copyright, and internet-related matters. I am a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), and the ABA-Intellectual Property Law section. As a law student, I served as the first-ever Chair of the Student Reporter Program Subcommittee of the ABA-Intellectual Property Law section's Law Student Action Group. I previously served twice as a Student Reporter in that program. My areas of interest include trademark law, copyright law, and trade secret law, and particularly as these areas apply to the music, art and entertainment, sports, fashion and retail, and food and beverage industries. Additional interests include cyberlaw, internet and social media law, privacy law, and the intersections between intellectual property and privacy, international trade, and the First Amendment. I hold a J.D., cum laude, from American University, Washington College of Law (WCL) where I focused on intellectual property law. I served as Editor-in-Chief of the American University Intellectual Property Brief for the - academic year I formerly served as a blog editor and blogger for the Brief. As a law student, in addition to my IP-related activities, I was also a senior staff member of the American University International Law Review and a Dean's Fellow for the Legal Research Writing Program. I also served as Vice President of Finance of the WCL Business Law Society for the - academic year. I hold a B.A. in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University. I am a musician (mainly guitar) and songwriter, photographer (darkroom experience), avid sports fan, trivia lover, and food and wine enthusiast.
