Chad Kaul is a founding team member of Connected Patents and mentor to the Thiel Foundation under fellows. Previously, Chad was co-founder of The Arena USA, a network to educate and involve citizens in the issues that impact communities locally, nationally, and internationally. This venture was incubated and spun-off at ROI Global, a Beverly Hills private equity firm specializing in early stage technology, media, and education investments. Chad led ROI Global's emerging internet and market analysis while creating the vision, mission, and strategy for The Arena USA. Chad began his career as a writer and story developer for feature film and video games. In , he joined an educational media campaign to pass a state wide initiative as co-chair of policy and research. He holds a bachelor of arts in economics from Vanderbilt University where he also studied organizational development, business administration, information systems, and film. In his down time, Chad can be found in the kitchen honing his skills as an amateur chef or around the Bay Area enjoying local adventures.
