As an application strategist, architect and developer, Spencer has built applications that businesses have grown with for the last decade. Recently, he has built up developer teams, first at the Los Angeles based digital agency Something Massive, and currently with Weber Shandwick in Los Angeles. As a technical lead, Spencer has led teams to deliver content on mobile platforms such as iOS and Android, social platforms such as Facebook and YouTube and large independent web applications. Prior to being Tech Lead at Something Massive, Spencer was focused on designing and developing solutions for ebook conversion to mobile platforms. He was hired by Trailer Park in connection with Apple's iBooks offering to automate the conversion of book layout files to epub. Trailer Park Digital Publishing was quickly born from the software Spencer developed, and the department became an Apple preferred developer. Spencer's ebook conversion software continues to be used by other companies to create fixed layout and interactive books for Amazon's Kindle platform and Apple iBooks. Spencer has helped to build large scale workflow applications as well as smaller CMS sites to promote and socialize company content. He contributes to various PHP and JavaScript projects within the development community. Recently however, Spencer is focusing techniques and tools to measure the utility of each developmental project. To justify ROI on content hubs, site changes or software implementations, Spencer is defining goals the software or web application is supposed to target. By defining measurable feedback to qualify the applications usefulness clients can better understand the importance and direction of software development and campaign execution. By attempting to more accurately define a sites immediate impact, Spencer attempts to compare those campaign impacts to the overall brand awareness for a company.
