I fell in love with the Internet back in (thanks Compuserv) and since then, it has been a constant part of my life. I love blogs, websites, Twitter and message boards (yes, theyre still around). I enjoy watching how people use online communities and resources to improve their daily life, to get more involved with a hobby, or to start a new venture. I spent a good portion of the last decade helping brands figure out how to navigate online communities. Over the past decade, Ive created community marketing campaigns for bands such as Green Day and kd lang, and movies like Memento with the pioneer online marketing company, Electric Artists (www.electricartists.com). I was at New Media Strategies (www.nms.com) as the Director of Social Media and Digital PR until . While there, I worked on a variety of campaigns for Atari, Pepsi, SyFy Channel, PBS, ABC, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and other entertainment and Fortune clients. Since , Ive worked independently, helping companies with social media, content strategy, online advertising and digital PR strategies.
