Sometime in 2001 I believe - In my brief but illustrious 2nd job working at the local mini movie theater in Somerville MA. I was celebrating some downtime in the ticket booth by singing the first few lines of "One Is The Loneliest Number" to a small stuffed animal gorilla that happened to be there. My song was cut short upon the discovery that the wee gorilla ears were not the only ears to be graced with my rendition. The ticket booth mic was on, so folks who passed on the street were privy.. and slightly horrified. A young man then came to the booth to buy a ticket and giggled slightly at my embarrassment. In retrospect I shoulda grabbed the mic and belted out the fucker. With mini stuffed gorilla backup dancers. Maybe next time. In the meantime I'm bustin' my hump - my lovely lady lump - working away at 3 part-time jobs and my Masters in Education. When I'm done I'll get certified. Which I suppose will mean I'll be certifiable. Isn't that nice? I live happily with my squeeze and a cat named Dora that enjoys sleeping on my head.
