Charles Chamberlayne is a veteran of Capitol Hill and an expert at developing communications strategies and materials for television, radio, internet and public. His resume includes working in communications capacities for Senators John Cornyn of Texas, Christopher S. Bond of Missouri, Pete V. Domenici of New Mexico, and the former Speaker of the House, J. Dennis Hastert. As a former communications and outreach aide to Speaker Hastert, Charles helped to develop many important coalitions between the House Leadership, minority publications and various organizations. Some of these projects included developing new coalitions with the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) to help pass the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) into law, assisting with the passage of a bill to celebrate the legacy of African Americans and create the 1st National Museum of African-American History, working with the Congressional Leadership to allow Rosa Parks to be first woman to lie in honor at the U.S. Capitol, and assisting with the first National Urban League (NUL) Legislative Conference on Capitol Hill. Charles is a native of Somerset, New Jersey and holds a double degree in history and political science from Howard University. Charles is also currently enrolled as a student at The Johns Hopkins University for a masters of arts in communications. Charles is the son of pastors Chuck Chamberlayne of the Reformed Church of New Brunswick, NJ and Sharon Chamberlayne Associate Minister at First Baptist of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset, NJ.
